I started writing this album in 2020, shortly after the debut of TEOAY's album, 'Rules For Becoming Invisible.' I needed to continue exploring the vast and dark universe the first bunch of songs had left me. A door was opened, and I dared to pass through. Surprisingly, the new compositions were less violent and less chaotic. A strand of melancholy appeared right from the beginning, and I followed it. Melancholy took me to Nostalgia, and Nostalgia led me to a form of surreal fatalism. Why does this music, and no other, flow out from me? We are what we are and nothing more. Every attempt at novelty was written long ago, deep into my mind. I'm just discovering the things I was meant to discover, the same things that lined up my way at the end of every decision, at the end of every little experience. I turned right on that forgotten day of mine, and here I am now. I erected my own altar and prayed to myself. Oh, how sweet the decadence was! How intense the chase and the release! And that path led me here too, to this very moment, at the end of this very project where the future things that are meant for me line up.
So, what now? How am I supposed to continue living after knowing this? Well, there's a fire in knowing. I am meant to reach the things that lie ahead of me, but it's on me to make them meaningful. There's a fire in knowing. Even when you know that everything was set long ago, how things unveil and reveal, not only the present but also the past and the future. Me, and all of them that are also me, entwine.
Music, the language of the soul, fills the air, evoking despair, echoing through the chambers.
